A partnership between LeaderShift and the Children Youth & Family Ministry Network of the Pacific Mountain Regional Council, this 2-day, in depth course is offered for all adults who interact with youth (and applies to people of all ages) at church, school, activities, social services, in families, with friends and in community.

The 14-hour Mental Health Commission of Canada course content covers the four most common mental health disorders including:

  • substance related

  • mood related

  • anxiety and trauma related

  • and psychotic disorders

and how to support people with their mental health. Course participants leave well prepared to interact confidently about mental health with the young people, and those of all ages, in their lives.

This important course is also coming to the North, Thompson-Okanagan, Islands, and Kootenay areas of BC in 2020.
